“Dragon-scale” façade of IFC One Saigon
As the first project in Vietnam using a double-skin façade, which is created from triangular panels mounted on the outside of the Unitized system, IFC One Saigon affirms its advanced class right even from the time of construction.
Inspired by the legendary "Dragon" in Vietnamese folklore, the 185-meter façade system of IFC One is assembled from thousands of layers of curtain walls and triangular panels to create an artistic gradient effect of dragon scales. The triangular aluminum frame system not only ensures effective light transmission and thermal insulation but also conveys a robust, dynamic aesthetic.
The largest triangular panel in the project is 3450x4800 mm with a weight of up to 500 kg. This is the biggest facade panel that BM has ever implemented. Additionally, severe weather conditions and high wind pressure from the river bank require BM WINDOWS team to propose many new construction solutions to adapt to the 24/24 construction progress.
With a modern, exquisite, and subtly traditional façade language, BM WINDOWS has been portraying a new urban silhouette with the pride of Saigon citizens!
