BM Windows honored with the Façade and Innovation Award at VU Summit London 2026
From Vietnam to the global stage, BM Windows marked a proud milestone as the company was honored with the “Façade and Innovation Award” at VU Summit London 2026. The recognition not only acknowledges Vietnamese façade engineering capabilities on an international platform, but also represents a meaningful step forward in BM Windows’ Go Global journey.
Held from 26–29 October 2026, VU Summit London 2026, organized by the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU), brought together representatives from more than 40 countries, 250 companies and 200 speakers across architecture, engineering and urban development. Under the theme “Density and Identity: Shaping Skylines, Elevating Culture”, the summit opened up in-depth discussions around technology, sustainability and the future of modern cities.
“It’s incredibly powerful, I think, when we bring all of us into one room and share our knowledge as we do. It’s not available in any other format, and it’s something that we really must continue to drive. And then I thought, as I was looking forward to where we’re going, undoubtedly we’re in a period of evolution.”
- Steve Watts, Managing Director, JP Morgan Chase Bank UK; Local Steering Committee
At the event, Mr. Dustin Tran – Managing Director and Mr. Roger Schaerer – Senior Project Director of BM Windows shared the engineering journey behind One Bloor West in Toronto, Canada, through the message: “Designed in England. Crafted in Vietnam. Built in Toronto, Canada”.
From the architectural vision to the technical challenges and fabrication solutions behind its complex façade system, the presentation offered practical insights into cross-border collaboration while demonstrating the role Vietnamese engineering capabilities can play within the international construction value chain.
One of the most memorable moments came when BM Windows was honored with the “Façade and Innovation Award” as part of the CVU Awards of Excellence 2026.
“For BM Windows, VU Summit is not only an opportunity to be present at an international platform in London — one of the world’s leading centres for architecture and construction — but also a valuable chance to engage directly with professionals who are helping shape the future of the façade and high-rise building industry.
More importantly, it gives us the opportunity to learn, exchange experience, and continue raising our capabilities to meet global standards.”– Mr. Dustin Tran, Managing Director, BM Windows
Behind this milestone is the sustained effort of BM Windows’ engineers, specialists and teams who continue to bring Vietnamese façade expertise to international projects.
Connecting expertise, continuing the Go Global journey
Beyond the presentation and awards ceremony, panel discussions, professional networking sessions and visits to notable projects across London offered new perspectives on design, engineering and emerging trends shaping the global built environment.
“Façades are a relationship-driven business. Events like VU Summit London allow us to exchange expertise, build trust with international partners and demonstrate the engineering capability behind BM Windows.”
– Mr. Roger Schaerer, Senior Project Director, BM Windows
BM Windows concluded its time in London with a significant recognition and valuable industry experience, while continuing to look ahead to new goals in its Go Global journey and the advancement of Vietnamese façade engineering on the international stage.
“BM Windows’ presence at VU Summit, as well as at other international industry platforms in London, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Sydney, shows that façade capabilities from Vietnam today are able to meet the demanding requirements of global projects. For BM Windows, this is not only a source of pride in one particular project, but also a clear demonstration that Vietnamese engineering, manufacturing capabilities and people can contribute to landmark projects on the global stage.”
