Performance mockup testing process for 15 Sydney Avenue project

The performance testing for the PMU façade at 15 Sydney Avenue was conducted according to Australia's AS4284 standard. This unique standard requires the façade to face inside the test chamber, unlike other standards where it faces outside. This demands extremely high technical standards throughout the entire preservation and testing process.

Objectives of performance mockup testing for 15 Sydney Avenue

After evaluating the VMU at the factory in April, BM Windows proceeded with performance testing for the PMU façade at 15 Sydney Avenue at Winwall, a Singapore-accredited testing center. The entire PMU testing process was attended and witnessed by façade consultants from Australia.

While VMU allows visual assessment of construction details and materials, PMU simulates performance, checking for airtightness, water tightness, noise insulation, thermal insulation, and structural endurance before mass production begins.

Challenges of PMU testing under Australian façade standards

The performance testing for the 15 Sydney Avenue project marks the first time BM Windows has installed a Unitized system sample following the Australian AS4284 standard. This standard requires the façade to face inside the test chamber, which demands very high technical standards throughout the testing process.

Preparation for testing involved multiple steps, including using Athena software for sample design, requiring close coordination between the technical department, factory, and testing organization to meet the tight testing schedule set by the investor.

The test results showed that BM Windows' façade products for 15 Sydney Avenue passed nine rigorous tests, meeting the strictest criteria set by the investor and consultants before mass production.

Efforts to meet the rigorous standards of the Australian market

The Australian façade standards constantly demand innovation and creativity to provide optimal solutions for modern architecture. BM Windows has continuously strived to meet high requirements for weather resistance, thermal insulation, sound insulation, and aesthetics, gaining the trust of partners and clients in one of the world's most demanding markets.

Throughout the VMU mockup design and PMU performance testing process for 15 Sydney Avenue, BM Windows' team has tirelessly researched and developed flexible design and production solutions to meet the stringent standards of the Australian market. This not only affirms the quality and effectiveness of the products but also demonstrates a commitment to professionalism in every project BM Windows undertakes.
