BM Windows Completes Façade Supply for One Bloor West (The One Toronto) – Canada's First Supertall Building

After more than 20 months of production involving 6,720 panels packed into 336 containers, BM Windows has officially completed the final panels for the One Bloor West project (formerly The One Toronto), with the participation of the investor, general contractor, design firms, and consultants from Canada.

This achievement is the result of tremendous efforts by the team in their journey to contribute to the soon-to-be tallest building in Canada, standing over 300 meters tall with 85 stories. More than just an architectural icon in North America, the project is set to officially reach the 300-meter mark this July, becoming Canada’s first “supertall” building.

The early completion of the production schedule, along with meeting all quality commitments, marks a significant milestone in BM Windows’ participation in globally scaled projects. “As the manufacturer and supplier of the façade system for One Bloor West, BM Windows has successfully fulfilled its mission, showcasing technical capabilities, a professional manufacturing process, and international standards in every product,” shared the project investor.

One Bloor West is considered one of the most technically demanding and complex projects in North America. It requires strict adherence to supertall building standards, with over 38 different panel types – each potentially consisting of more than 200 individual components. As such, the production process demanded extreme precision and advanced technology. Every panel underwent rigorous testing before leaving the factory.

The project was designed by Foster & Partners, one of the world’s leading architectural firms, and includes many intricate, unique, and refined details. The technical specifications are among the highest in North America, meeting ASTM International standards – the American Society for Testing and Materials. The façade was engineered to withstand Canada’s harsh temperate climate, with temperature dropping to -18°C, and wind pressure at higher floors reaching up to 4.0kPa. Every design element of the façade posed challenges at a level previously unseen in Canadian projects.
Mr. Huỳnh Nhật Minh, Chairman of the Board of BM Windows, shared:
“The completion of the final panel for the One Bloor West project (The One Toronto) is a major milestone not just for BM Windows but for the Vietnamese façade industry as a whole. For the first time, a Vietnamese façade company has produced the façade system for the tallest building in Canada to date, located in Toronto – the country's financial and economic hub.”

With sincerity, commitment, and professionalism, BM Windows has gradually overcome challenges, successfully delivering the One Bloor West project and earning recognition from the investor and project partners.

“As of now, BM Windows’ technology and technical expertise has fully met the most complex project requirements worldwide. We confidently deliver façade solutions that conquer the highest challenges in design, technical standards, and quality in the most demanding markets globally,” shared Mr. Trần Văn Tiến, CEO of BM Windows.
